To find out the exact size, use a centimeter or a string: wrap it around your wrist and then put it to the ruler. A detailed measuring scheme is available in the gallery with photos. 
If you buy a bracelet as a gift and don't know the size, in 90% of cases 16 cm is suitable for women and 18 cm for men.
